Resurrection
Sunday is a day of so much joy- remembering our salvation from death and
punishment through Christ’s powerful resurrection!
In
celebration, we enjoyed a special Sunday service at our church plant in
Misiones. This was the first Sunday that
we shared communion, the Lord’s supper, with the body there. Afterwards, we shared a meal and time of
fellowship.
We
were so excited to have three new families join us for the resurrection
service! These families had attended the
outdoor movie nights that week and heard the Gospel message. One family, a father and his adolescent
daughter, actually told Paco that they wanted to know and live for Jesus
Christ! They said they had been reading the Bible we had given them at the
movie nights and now wanted a church body to help them understand and apply the
Bible more!
Another
new family, a lady and her grandson, said they recognized their need God’s help
after the movies and message. She had
tears in her eyes as she shared problems in her family and her finances- she
didn’t even have money for food or electricity that week! After praying for her, the church sent her
home with her arms full of food- she was amazed at the
love of Christ’s body.
