On
the Thursday and Friday before Easter (known as Holy Thursday and Good Friday),
we projected evangelistic movies outside at dusk along the main street in the
Misiones community.
The
room we rent for our church in Misiones is directly over a small basketball
court on the main street. We set up
folding chairs throughout the court and a screen under the hoop, and passed out
lots of flyers inviting the community to the family movie nights. On Thursday we presented the movie “War Room”
and on Friday, “Son of God”.
What
a turn out! Both on Thursday and Friday,
over 60 people attended to not only watch the movie but hear the Gospel message
afterwards. There we so many people
that many were standing to watch even at the park behind the basketball
court!
On
Thursday night, after the message, one young man even approached Paco
to
confess that he had made a mess out of his life and marriage and needed God’s
forgiveness and help. Paco prayed with
him right there for Jesus’ presence in him!
We
praise God for such a perfect location for our church, for such perfect weather
for the movie nights, and for every person who heard the
truth of salvation
through Jesus Christ!
