"JOHN PARTY" with Youth Group

Our youth personally read the entire Gospel of John!

At our weekly youth group meetings, we would assign three chapters of the book to read and mark for homework. Then, at our next study, each youth would share a verse that the Lord spoke to him in those chapters and how he could apply it to his life.  It was
amazing to see that these 13-23 year olds read their Bibles each week and understood God’s message for their lives for themselves!!

To celebrate this accomplishment, we threw a “John Party”, and invited the group to come dressed as a person/object mentioned in the Gospel of John, and to bring a John-themed snack.  While Paco dressed as John the Baptist, and I dressed as “Living Water”, other youth came as Lazarus, Thomas, a grape, and  Jesus.  The snacks were even more creative: “bread of life”, “wine”(grape soda), “fish”(tuna salad), “Lazarus hotdogs”, a “fire” of Cheetos, and
more.  We celebrated answering trivia questions from the book of John and sharing our favorite verses.
